If only that could work with kids

It does....give them pens or paint and they stay in one place for ages and the carpet is wrecked. My carpets at home will vouch for that!

This is true, especially for girls. I think my daughter could literally spend a day drawing without interruption.

My youngest daughter has a scissor fetish....she will spend hours cutting up bits of paper. The eldest daughter is content with the pens!

People. People it should work on. Yeah, people.

Would you rather just have had the 'Add Alcohol' without the espresso and saved time and money?

No, no. One can't /just/ drink in the morning, one has a coffee first.

Coffee first!?!?!?! That's just amateur! Where's your commitment, man?

|

There are some things you can take as read, firstly I am no amateur and secondly not only am I committed but my own family says I should be!

Ha, I like how keen you are to refute that.

Contrary to popular opinion, not everything in Scotland is deep fried. Some things are simply shallow-fried.

There is a somber air across the company at the moment, particularly offshore on the respective platforms.
It all started 3 weeks ago when one of the lads died while on holiday with his family. He was 51. He was on my shift in for a couple of years (2012/2013) and had also worked with him previously.
Yesterday afternoon it was announced that another one of the lads again died while on holiday, he was away with a few of the other lads (not sure of his exact age, but think mid 50's).
Yesterday evening it was announced that another colleague had died at home, he was 47. I had worked with him for 20+ years (basically since I started) and again he was on my shift for many years when I went through my technician period, and then I was also his supervisor for a while, and on to be his manager (he was a supervisor by this time). In the early years before having kids, we also spent many a day in the pub and generally just being loons in the way you would imagine young guys with too much money and too much time off would do.
So to Dave, Derek and Ade, we are thinking of you.......

They say things happen in threes, so I hope that is the last of that for a while!

Such young people! Sad to hear it...

No, it is not.....the guys I've spoken to are saying, WTF are MPs getting involved for.
The CAA and the helicopter operators manage this. O&G companies have neglible influence (in my view).

So...the company is going to ban staff holidays? Just a guess...
Sorry to hear about them: that's not a long life at all.

Hope not....they can at least wait until I get back from Cyprus in a few weeks.
And don't given them ideas!

They are accountants: they will already be planning...and here it's a clear Health and Safety concern...
