Got a problem in Crystal Report (requested by the user), search for the problem, trying everything I could find, and at the end of the day, my boss will say that it's okay if it won't be done?! Nice..
I'll just go home and have a good night sleep.

I know a dev who worked for 4 YEARS on an app only to have it dumped in the final stages of UAT. It is the first time I ever saw a dev go absolutely ballistic when the manager asked him why he was upset, he was getting paid so STFU. The dev decked the manager and quit 20 seconds later.

In our company we're working on the same (major) feature for the third time. Every time, it has taken a dev team of six people six months to develop. The first two times, it has been scrapped right before release...
And since our system evolves quite a lot and quite fast, we've been unable to just pick up the old code the next time the feature has been requested, but are forced to develop it again from scratch...
We're crossing our fingers that 3rd time is the charm, but actually, we don't really care. It's not our money and as long as we get paid to do it...
