And none of that is FB's fault. It is content and users.

You sure are defending FaceBook as if you have a lot of stock in it. Just saying.
I don't use it at all so therefore I cannot hate it. However, from what I have heard people hate it because it is fake. Fake meaning people have 2000+ "friends." They aren't friends.
And people post boring updates. Like twitter, "I'm eating toast." Etc, etc. That's why people hate it. Simple.

That is my whole point. What, in everything you mentioned, says FB is bad? It is your choice of making FB friends which bad. You chose the content you see. If you choose crap, you get crap. What is wrong with container holding crap?

Perhaps you are trying to defend it from a programming point of view? All I know is the few times I have gone to a FB page I can't tell what in the world I am looking it. The UI I do hate. It sucks.

Finally.

Content. Team FB has nothing to do with it.

Agreed. I dislike certain bits. But they are doing amazing job considering majority users use internet for them and pr0n.

Hey, I got this friend and he told me that Michael Jackson used his cousins bathroom one time.

I'm only gonna tweet that if it was a number two. I have standards.

Ironically, I have deeper connections with women that most people ever will, simply because I'm open and honest with them. Most guys aren't. When it comes to guys, they're all fake with me. Go figure.

95% of my FB friends are people I know in real life. The rest are friends of friends who share common interests with me, and the only reason I haven't met them yet is geographical inconvenience.
If you have a problem with fake relationships on FB, the problem is with you, not with FB.

Now, I have to admit that I'm a frequent user of Facebook so I don't fall into the active dislike camp, but one thing that really gets on my chest-ends is the ever changing security and privacy on FB. Is this private? Yep, but how about tomorrow? How about next week? Oh look, they changed their security policy and my previously private posts are now public.

Been there. It is not really intuitive but it is not that difficult as well. Hell, way better than doing anything in SAP for God's sake.

This never ending series of twiddles and flubs make it very confusing for the neophyte.

Totally agree to that. That is the reason why these stupid apps, hoax and other shite prevail. But that is common with internet. It is just that FB is insane user base and hence liable for scrutiny.
