Congratulations!
By now, your day will be beginning to wind down, but I hope it was fruitful, happy and full of good cheer.

It was particularly awesome when it was posted in the Insider News[^] last week.
The last paragraph is so good its worth repeating though.

Well written. "You now have one extra little fact to tuck away in the millions of little facts you have to memorize because so many of the programs you depend on are written by dicks and idiots." F***in hilarious

Doing this all day leaves you in a state of mild aphasia as you look at people's faces while they're speaking and you don't know they've finished because there's no semicolon.

No. Not immune. Just another word beginning with "I"...

Hello,
as an quite avid reader of the lounge, i know what can happen upon your first post (especially when it is somehow work related and additionally not funny) but still:
i am looking for people interested in beta testing a Visual Studio 2012/2013 plugin i developed, focusing on the merge process (features include a replacement merge dialog with various ways of selecting changesets, work-item based merging, automated merge checkin comments, merge profile saving/loading, nonblocking operation and a few more). It is fully integrated and has a seamless UI, and has been used for a few months in a company with around 800 tfs users.
I don't want to promote neither the name of the tool nor that of the company; i am just looking for people who'd be interested in testing the current release, which will be rewarded with free licenses when it goes live. If anyone is interested, feel free to contact me via pm.
The plugin won't be free, so if this qualifies as an advertisement i am sorry (and of course i'll delete that post asap).
In 2006 someone else apparently tried the same and wasn't killed, so i am in good hope
