Saturated fat 'ISN'T bad for your heart'[^]
The original study, I forget who by, eliminated two outliers in its data set in order to show a nice linear correlation between dietary fat and heart disease, and went on to form govt policy for decades. Of course as an idea it was simple, and acceptable, and thus swallowed all the more easily.
I wonder what other corrupted science with a simplistic message has gone on to form govt policy for decades....

I'm running an experiment right now where I don't avoid saturated fats and see if it kills me.
Will let you know in 50 - 70 years.
It's harder than you may think, almost every product these days is completely free of any nutritional value. Food these days is just cardboard, air, water and a mildly toxic artificial sweetener.

Really, Keneysian Economics taught us that first.
But it is only now that that bad policy is slowly being allowed to be questioned.
The research didn't shape the policy, the Government needed backing for a predecided policy and made the scientist famous.
