No, if I comment out all of my using directives (and I only use using namespaces not aliases) I still get the exact same behavior.

Shouldn't that be
global::MyCompany.MyProject.Bar.SomeObject MyObjectName = new global::MyCompany.MyProject.Bar.SomeObject(); ?
Don't be too distracted by the prefix, but you forgot to give your variable a name. That's a syntax error.
OT; VS prefixes correctly if I remove it's using as PIEBALD suggested.

I actually have a couple of places where I use global:: , but even I don't use it unless necessary.

So I just started up iTunes. I don't do that very often, because I hate the friggin' program. But once in a while, I'm looking for a tune I simply can't find anywhere else, and then I'm flucking forced to use it...
So iTunes starts up and this is what I see: Screendump[^]
A blank dialog with a checkbox and 4 buttons ("?", "Other", "OK" and "Cancel" for those who don't understand Swedish).
Very informative (NOT) and no matter what I click, the same thing happens: Nothing!
Just another reason to hate iTunes. Rant over!

It's just speechless, like I was when I saw "Can't Hug Every Cat" in your list.

Ooops! Very revealing.
But actually you should be much more worried about this one[^] (which is also in my list)!
[EDIT] As mentioned, I only use iTunes for songs I can't find anywhere wlse, so my entire iTunes list is actually kind of strange (or at least that is what I would like you to believe ) [/EDIT]

It's a lack-of-intelligence test: you are supposed to tick the checkbox, and press "OK" to transfer your bank balance to Apple for safe keeping.
Clearly, you are too unfashionable to be allowed to buy from iTunes!

I did try to check the box and click ok. Nothing happened. But now that I think about it, I'm very glad nothing happened, because God knows what I had agreed upon then?!?!?!
