the detection rate of this Virus was below 26%
which is quite good for a trojan/bot but, well it wasn't on our side this time
Deleting the Virus is not the Problem Reducing the damage done is.

Was it the CryptoLocker Virus?
If so you are well and truly elephanted unless you have everything backed up. You will have approximately 3 days to pay the ransom to get the files decrypted. If you miss their deadline it goes up 8 to 10 times the original amount. No known cure to the encryption.
Found a link to their Tor web page when trying to fix this for a customer a few weeks ago.

We cut of that guys Network, deleted the trojan and then restored all encrypted data with the backup.

Okay, this isn't intended to start a debate. I've just noticed recently that when I visit a link with a video - YouTube or the like - Chrome displays a black rectangle where the video ought to be, with full stereo sound and no picture. The same site in IE will display the video perfectly. This started a couple of months ago, and I'm wondering if a patch to Chrome might have caused it. It would also be nice to learn how to fix it, since I really like Chrome a lot better than IE.
Any thoughts?

IE uses an ActiveX version of Flash while Chrome ships its own. So maybe something with your Flash plugin is messed up in Chrome?

Two ideas you could try:
- If you have an adblocker installed in chrome: disable it. As @Mike-Hankeyalready mentioned they added fullscreen ads with a timer some time back. If the ad is blocked the video won't play.
- Try setting the Youtube player to HTML5 (http://www.youtube.com/html5[^]) or if it is enabled. Reset it to the default player.
Had that problem sometimes too. And it seems to have been related to the video ads. (Probably loading the ad failed). After refreshing a bit until an overlay ad instead of the video came up it worked. Yet I don't know how much control you, or the owner of such a video has what type of ads are shown.

So it seems to me that you are trying to say that
1. YouTube sucks!
2. but Flash sucks! even more
3. and IE has nothing to do with this and works fine, but it's still not good enough
Yeah! I agree.

Many of the applications I have to work with have been ported from Access, so that's exactly what I earn my money with now. Actually I have already seen worse and been given less opportunity to do something about it.
The man in charge of the last dinosaur Access projects sits right at the next desk. He is from Hungary and (despite doing Access) a great guy. But he sounds exactly like Count Dracula in some old movie.
