There are some large threads on the forum recently hating on Justin Bieber. Some food for thought:
* If you don't like his music, don't listen to it.
* Just because he looks different than you doesn't mean you have to call him a girl. Remember, if you're reading this, you're in IT and you're probably weird, and probably awkward.
* (For Parents) Remember what its like when somebody picks on your kid...
* If he is retiring from music, I'm personally jealous! He got in, made tons of money and can now do whatever he wants. The rest of us will continue going to work.

From my perspective, he's a hyped up talentless eejit who believes in his own hype. A waste of space and he invites derision.
He's made a lot of money, granted, but so do pron stars. Sooner gone, sooner forgotten - just like what's his name.

Because it isn't music?
Because if you have teenagers you can't "not listen to it" without murdering your offspring?
Because it saves time?

Naggy,
On the flip side, your daughters probably want to drink when you listen to your music/tech podcast/talk radio.

How bally dare you! The Home Service is good and wholesome. Though they do listen to Magic a lot, which I find bearable.

I feel for you! ...my brother has three beautiful little girls (ages range from <1 to 5)... I don't know how he keeps his sanity listening to this music and watching princess cartoons all day.

Because People hate
might it be cause of jealousy or whatever...
*I don't like him
*I don't listen to his Music
*I accept that i might be awkward so he can accept that i think he's a Girl
*Well... you got that one
*Yes indeed!
But i still don't like him. And the freedom of opinion allows me to say that i hate him everywhere i want to, other People are also allowed to hate me so accept the defeat of the power of freedom

This isn't about what Justin thinks of your statements. Its about respecting others around you. I learned this the hard way... I was quite down on President George W. Bush when he was in office and after. I happen to be a fan of the current US president. That being said, others around me say many hateful things about a man I respect. While they have a right to their own opinion, I'm not a fan of it. More importantly, I realized how I may have made others feel when I was down on President Bush. Learning respect for others even when you disagree with them.
Its one thing to make factual statements about aspects of his music, its another to declare it cr@p because you don't enjoy it.
I'm not saying a better person, but I'm always trying to become a better person.
