This happened to me once, I pulled the power on the machine and when I restarted Visual Studio was able to recover the design!

It's probably happened to a lot of us at one time and while I don't save every line of code I do commit frequently or recommended to be committed frequently can't remember which?

My favorite ex-wife wanted to have me committed but I fled and never looked back.

My ex needs to be committed!
She goes through boy friends quite frequently and can't understand why?

I can understand. I made a career out of going out with damaged women.
Thank god for damaged women and alcohol, otherwise I would not have had sex in my lifetime.

For me that is always the Moment when Pressing the powerbutton is an ultimate Option...
Turn machine off and go home.

Mine is the realisation that the files you though were the latest save version committed everywhere are not when you check out the code the following day... the 'should not got out of bed moment'

One of the features that I love about XCode is that your changes are automatically saved for you. Though I have to admit that muscle memory still clicks in at times to do a save.
you want something inspirational??

I'm curious: do you use the Tools/Options/Environment/Auto-Recover options ?
Ever look in \…\My Documents\Visual Studio 20##\Backup Files\

“Oh, you can't help that,” said the Cat: “we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.”
“How do you know I'm mad?” said Alice.
“You must be," said the Cat, or you wouldn't have come here.” Lewis Carroll

Only two hours? Now you know what to do you'll have it re-made a lot faster.
I once reverted code I had been working on for over a day. Of course I saved my work every few minutes, but source control can do that sort of stuff.
Needless to say I wasn't to happy about it. A few hours later and I was back where I left off.
It's an OO world.

Bizarre! I got this as a reply to the thread below, as I guess you meant it, rather than here.

Indeed - I'm fibbling too much with the keys today. The alcohol level in my blood seems to be too low. Now it's back where it belongs!

Hey - don't worry.
Step Two: Block non-UK domains that don't meet theirs specs.
then on to
Step Three: Blocking other content your government deems offensive.
This is all, of course, a budgetary strategy, as after step three the screening can be cheaply outsourced to China !
