I fully understand that this will be quite different between different countries, but that's also why a reason why I'm curious.
Mine is "O Helga Natt[^]" (Oh Holy Night). Especially when sung by Jussi Björling. (Pavarotti can take a hike).

What do you mean with EVEN Slade.
I'm seriously a fan of them and feel ashamed that I've forgotten about that song.

That's exactly the song I first thought of.
It makes me smile and laugh. The rest of them seem to make me groan these days.

The anti-nowhere league might sum up my attitude to Christmas but since this is the lounge and I like pretty much anything by Bach I will go for: J.S. Bach - Christmas Oratorio BWV 248[^]
(his Easter music[^] is much better by the way)

Most of what goes for culture in the UK nowadays is fairly poor.
If, when Bulgarians start moving to the UK next year, they bring some of their culture I will be more than happy to welcome them.

Yeah, I'm afraid the most likely group to move will be ethnically not quite bulgarians. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

I'm feeling some ambiguity in that sentence.
Are you referring to the fact that they're not really Bulgarians, or that they might be moving?

Nope, I meant that the most mobile and likely group to move in large numbers would be the Roma minority. They have different cultural traditions, not that there is anything wrong with that.
