I've just read the Scott Adams blog in which he explains in a hard note his father's death and his feelings about it-
RIP Scott Adams father.

Not truly... it's an old curve 3g (9300) device and it has it's limitations.
the only thing that keeps me cool is the weather... which is cold.

I'm with him 100% on the sentiment. FIL was lucky, they just morphined him up and let him go without fuss. The MOFU's that prolong lives that are already over deserve to be kept going. With spikes.

Better and just gone to bed. Now it is just me and a rather bland Austrian Red waiting for Mrs Wife to come home.

Just overheard one of my fellow developers asking the manager what the latest version of a product going to production is. Neither of them knew. Shouldn't they both know?
Time to update the resume.

Adobe Flash Player has been wanting to update my computer forever so I finally let it and during the installation I noticed that it was installing McAfee Security Scanner. I guess I didn't read the fine print that allowed them to install it. WTF!

I still have my Lotus Smartsuite 97 CD...
Mind you, it still worked last time I installed it, and WordPro is still probably the best word processor ever written. The version of Word (2010) I use these days has nothing on it: slow, clunky and cluttered in comparison.
If WordPro could read and write Word 2010 files (or Word could read WordPro files properly) I'd probably still be using it: and it's a 16 bit app...
