Aren't pressure cookers supposed to speed up cooking?

It does, I'd cook it for 3-4 hours in a straight pan.

Sounds delicious; I wish I had taste-buds
Wouldn't two hours in a pressure-cooker result in everything turning to a soft mush ? Well, perhaps your pressure-cooker has a "simmer" setting ? Or, maybe soft mush is the goal ?

No, I made it myself. I wanted to try and make the soup's texture like that of the tinned ones.

Is that a sarcasm train halting in my station?
Like I said, it's not for the looks. It's healthy, and is very tasty. May be I'll present better next time.

Went into the forest to hunt for mushrooms and found some nice Porcini: Porcini-Mushrooms
I decided to take some egss, cream, bacon and onions, add some salt, pepper, some marjoram and just a hint of mace (to much would ruing the dish and totally obliterate the mushrooms scent).
Fry the the bacon, add the onions and stir until they are glazed. The mushrooms are not fried as porcini are one of the mushroom kinds that are OK to eat uncooked. They will be slightly cooked when the dish is put into the oven.
Mix the cream with the eggs and add the seasoning to taste (beware of the mace ) and put it all into a cake tin that has been lined with short crust:

Add some roughly grated cheese on to of the tarte (I used well matured Gouda):

Here's the final result:

It was very tasty and if I run across some porcini again I'll do this dish again.
Cheers!
