In 1968, I bought 1956 Black Chevy convertible with white top. Beautiful car, but a load of trouble as time wore on.
First brakes, then front end alignment. Next carburetor. Then transmission. Lost reverse. Drove it for full year with no reverse. Yes, it can be done, until inspection hits you. But that car looked great. Check it on web.

1974 Audi 100LS - bought in 1980 for $1600
Normally aspirated 1.9L inline 4 cylinder (91hp) paired with a 3 speed automatic transmission.
Crappy mileage, crappy ride, HORRIBLE performance.
Fairly roomy backseat so it worked well as a "date" car in HS. Just sayin'

Mine was a Lancia Beta HPE 2000.
That’s why it was called a Beta, they hadn’t got around to finishing it 😁

They never did get round to finishing them ... they melted in a mild shower of rain ...

My first car was a second hand 'Matra-Simca Bagheera'.
It rusted away before the first motor vehicle inspection, although the body was epoxy...

Nice wheels! Enjoy!

Nice, congrats!
I don't much care for cars, but I make an exception for the Hyundai i10 (a friend of mine has one).
That must be the ugliest car ever (well, save for the Fiat Multipla), but it's really good and dependable.
Somehow, the way the i10 looks really triggers me (even more than the Multipla because the i10 looks like a regular car at first glance while the Multipla looks like a monster right away).
The i20 and up look great though

I would not be surprised if the Multipla was a practical inside joke, that accidently made it to production. It really looks like the crazy experimental car designs from the 60's and 70's.

What do you think of the citroen cactus?

Not great, not too bad...
A whole lot better than Multipla and i10 in any case.

Thanks!
I don't care much about the cars either but I at least wanted a car that's not boxey. i30 looks pretty classy and its comfortable and economic. I'm nothing but happy with my choice

welcome to the 2nd most expensive thing you will ever have.
Hyundai builds reliable and SAFE vehicles. Not a bad choice for your first vehicle.

I refuse to fish from a plane.

I am quite blessed in the wife department. She is quite frugal and actually helps me to stay in control. Very lucky guy i am.
I will admit the Kids have cost quite a bit. But the house on my goodness the house.
Also, I don't consider a person as being a thing so I really don't put value on that at least not monetarily. Perhaps emotionally.

Ok, it would have made sense to click the joke icon. I don't care spending money for the family and that includes then finally also the house and the car and much more ...

oh I knew it was a joke. It is ok. Sometimes writing on these things does not convey the whole attitude. I wasn't as strongly worded as I think it came across from me either.

3rd or 4th, I suspect. Wives can get very expensive (check out any divorcee), and kids cost an absolute fortune!
