Noooooo!! It'll just give people one more reason to not turn off their phone during a movie. Just hold it like a man or piss in your coke cup.

No one turns off their phones at a movie, they just mute the sound. This app alerts the user by vibrating the phone.

But you know people will be checking their screen to see what it says. Then it'll shine up the whole theater.

I realize that, for many people, the work week is already over. Nevertheless, have a great weekend!

I'm having problems with the logic of that. Must be because it's Friday.

Yeah, same to you buddy.

I'm bringing my work laptop home to coerce some database indices in to shape. But frankly, being able to work in my PJs, even on the weekend, is a plain win.

Not for our linemen. We had a hell of a monsoon storm this week, with about 20 power poles down, so in addition to working long days in this 115°F heat and sweltering humidity, they get to work the weekend, too!

Of course, and plenty of it. They're far too exhausted to spend any of it, but their wives are happy to take care that job for them.

Sadly this does not run on W7! It was written (I think, it's been a while) in Borland C++ using Wing32. Would be fun to resurrect it though!

It's running on my Win7 machine, although I don't know if it is working properly.
There is a slowly moving thing that flashes red or green if I click the right or left mouse button anywhere, and that is about it.

Huh. I'll have to fuss with it then.

The left and right buttons control the "polarity". Hold the desired button down, and you will be slowly attracted or repelled based on the other "poles" around you.
If you hold both buttons down, you will be "recharged" based on your velocity and proximity to a poll, but this also creates drag (a useful technique for slowing down.)
The idea is to maneuver your "pole" into the vortexy thing, which will advance you to the next level.
In STNG, there was this game that everyone got addicted to except Data, I think. A very similar concept (but mine was first, haha!)
