To be quite honest, I think it's most probably shopped.
Because if you google "shcool"[^] you get a lot of similar pictures.
And surely, there can't be THAT many illiterate f*cktards around the globe that happen to work painting road decorations?

Some of these detective stories were my favorites 30 years ago...
Skipper: We'll fix it.
Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

They're still good!
It's good to see modern adaptations - I like the BBC update "Sherlock" with Benedict Cumberbatch, but the US version "Elementary" is just using the stories and characters in the loosest sense possible. As usual, find something that works, suck everything good out of it and make it "same old, same old" for the US market they assume is thick as a breezeblock sandwich.

What does WSO FSOW stand for?
Is this (post) some sort of crossword clue? Sherlock Holmes fits 8,6.
Sherlock
Holmes

The rules are here: http://www.codeproject.com/script/Membership/View.aspx?mid=10446686[^]
And I have both good news and bad for you:
Good news: "Sherlock Holmes" is indeed the answer.
Bad news: You have got to do one of tomorrow...
The full solution (for the one or two of you who haven't worked it out):
Letter Character
S Hercule Poirot
H Jessica Fletcher
E Lord Peter Wimsey
R C. Auguste Dupin
L Cadfael
O Endeavor Morse
C Sam Spade
K Miss Jane Marple
H Jessica Fletcher
O Endeavor Morse
L Cadfael
M Frank Columbo
E Lord Peter Wimsey
S Hercule Poirot Normally, it would be one character set symbol per letter, but this time I used one Fictional Detective Character per letter.
The first name of the Famous Detective was represented by the first name of the character, the second name by their matching last name. (Except Brother Cadfael, who was only ever known as Cadfael, since that was his only name after taking holy orders).

That's why I emailed _Maxxx_ yesterday with the solution instead of posting it!
And I only did that because he deliberately mentioned me when he posted it!

I would request you to continue to set it since I still don't know what I solved.
Reading the rules on the page you provided did not help me either.
I'm just not familiar with this FSO....W.

In that you are certainly not alone!
Essentially
1. Think of a word
2. Replace each letter with a symbol (so the same letter is always represented by the same symbol)
(in OG's case he used a word to substitute for a letter rather than a symbol - but he's special)
3. Give the symbols, the number of letters in the answer and a clue (again, as OG is special, the clue was in the question as it were)
That's it - search for some old ones to give you the idea.
e.g.
if your word was
Bell
your symbols could be
†‡ƒƒ
and your clue could be
Ding Dong!
It's kinda cool if your symbols represent your answer somewhat - but it is not mandatory!
hint - make it easy or you have to do another one the next day!

No, I used a Character - each "word" was the name of a fictional detective, hence a "character" in books, films, and / or TV shows.

No chance!
I'm pretty useless at them.
Have a look at yesterdays: http://www.codeproject.com/Messages/5119025/WSO-FSOW-September.aspx[^] - it's more traditional:
rFsinΘ
Six characters, so six letters. None of the characters are the same, so none of the letters are the same.
In this case, r * F * sin(theta) is the equation for TORQUE, which has six letters, and none of them are the same.
It's becoming traditional to give a clue at the start (Mine was the first and second names separated), then more clues after each hour passes.
Have a go! You can't be worse than me!
