As for me, and I am within a year or two of you, I doubt I will ever retire. One of my hobbies is playing with programming languages. Here, I am getting paid for my hobby! I haven't worked a day in years!
My other job is ranching. Yes, I know, it sounds crazy, but I really enjoy it, even though it means caring for my herd and the guard dogs first thing in the morning (4:30 AM) and last thing at night (10:30 PM). (My wife cares for them during the day.) It is sooo peaceful with my nearest neighbors being one tenth of a mile away - I could never go back to urban or suburban living.
Have you heard of how the rancher's retirement party opens? The minister, in a very somber tone, begins with: "Dearly beloved, we are gathered today the celebrate the life of ..."
