is he subject or direct object? (despite we all like to reject him!)
In Word you can only store 2 bytes. That is why I use Writer.

I think the definite book for Murphy and all other meta-"laws" is this one:
Murphy's Law: Complete [^]
It is fun, in any case!

About 25 years ago, here in Norway a series of four or five books were published with variations on Murphy's Law - in Norwegaian, so they are probably of no use to you. Besides, after the third volume or so, the Murphy element became gradually weaker; the later books are more collections of funny observations / "laws".
And, where do you draw the line for "Murphy's Law derivatives"? Like the T-shirt I am wearing today, stating "Experience: The ability to recognize a mistake when you repeat it": Is that a derivative of Murphy, or not?

Pink Floyd - Time (Dark Side_
starts off quiet (clocks ticking), then riiiiing ding-ding-ding bong-bong-bong (lots of alarms/clocks chiming)
if I've had a good sleep I can wake up during the early quiet part (the tick-tick-tick)

Hah! I was going to mention that one - I used to wake up to it every morning when I was 18-19.

Usually any old thundering Delta Blues tune will do. Not the phony stuff that passes for R&B nowadays. Give me old school stuff from Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon etc. I especially like Steppenwolf's version of "Hoochie Coochie Man"[^]

A couple years ago, my kid did a project on Muddy Waters for school, so being the responsible parent I took him to the Blues Heaven Foundation[^] at the site of the old Chess records building in Chicago. Where I talked with Willie Dixons grandson, and played his bass for a little while, it was pretty darn cool.

I wake up to talk radio.
At the time the radio starts up (5h45), there is a song that is playing, but it changes every morning.
I'd rather be phishing!

My favorite is my vibrating wristwatch. Tried waking up with music, failed. When music plays, I integrate that into my dreams instead of waking up.

Ah, OK. I wake up when I want, but love this tune to crank up first thing when I make my green tea. Really kicks the day off with a smile!
