In keeping with the forum traditions, you will have to change your username to "Nagy Vilmos in the pub again again again again"

Maybe you should fire-up Visual Studio 1998 and code in VB6 , just for the nostalgia of it !

At step 1, you may have a bitness issue, they're very common.

It could be worse. It could be Java.

Without having gone through the pain of working with matlab, I would check out how matlab handles webservices.
Creating a simple webservice for the AccessDb would be fairly quick.

Can matlab call a web service?

Ok, so that'd be the best approach in my opinion. Not that the OP was asking for one, he was possibly just venting. But if he did have this idea, then well, I back him on it.

I suspect the OP was disguising and actual programming question, in hopes that you would eventually give him the answer. Which of course, you just did. You should at least get some points for coming up with the solution.

How bloody dare you! My spleen was in need of a medicinal vent.

Your liver may be in need of a medicinal bypass, but your spleen is in fine shape!

Not to mention that people can live without a spleen.

I have to agree.

That's just another pile of pain. Matlab doesn't handle anything but Matlab very well.

That sucks then!

I suppose they do that on purpose: if you have Matlab then why do you ask for a database or whatever? You already have all what you need!

A number of years ago, I wrote a generic database access class than handled ODBC, OleDB and SQLServer. The idea was a one-stop-shop... call the method needed, but have them all available.
