After four years, the DBA finally got tired of having to follow the rules he set forth, and gave me Sys Admin permissions on our database servers so I would stop bothering him about toggling ownership on jobs so they'd run (or not run), and so I could run jobs with my own account (while testing) instead of using the service account.
I knew I'd wear him down.

"Heckler, Koch, I and 20 rounds in my magazine vote 'no'.
That would not end good...

I prefer a 1911 in .45 ACP. 7+1 rounds of "can kill a truck".

Nothing against a good pistol, especially at close quarters. Outside a rifle gives you a good range.

Ammo is expensive, the feds stopped using that caliber. Beyond all of that, it's not as big as .45ACP.

Agreed. I have a Kimber 1911 .45 ACP two tone. It's my daily, while my wife carries a CZ P01 9mm.
When you are dead, you won't even know that you are dead. It's a pain only felt by others.
Same thing when you are stupid.

My truck gun is a brought-back-from-the-dead RIA 1911. When I got it, it was not very well taken care off, so I stripped it down to and restored the frame, and then put all new parts into it. It's at least as good a shooter as my Springfield 1911 is, which cost 3x as much.

Sounds awful...
Since the day I 'upgraded' our system from Novell to NT I'm a domain administrator with right to do whatever I wish... I'm lucky...

... and just got a new password. I must have tried it at least a dozen times, but never got any mails.
And then I saw it: There is one of those captcha thingies! My ad blocker had reduced that thing to a red rectangle with 'irrelevant' in it, alone for using the wrong language. And perhaps it would be nice not to show a message that pretends that a mail has been sent when it actually was not because you ignored the captcha.
However, be happy and rejoyce. You now have me back.
