In the UK public holidays are always on a Monday apart from Christmas and Good Friday so we'll be off on Monday instead. Also next week the election is on Thursday and lots of schools are used as polling stations and closed for the day.
A friend of mine's daughter is being very funny about going to school at the moment, doesn't want to go a lot of the time. So she told her if she goes all this week and is god she can have Monday off, if she then goes back on the Tuesday and Wednesday and is really good she can have the Thursday off too. Kid thinks this is an excellent deal.

We are having a double three day weekend in Slovenia.
The second one is this weekend as we are also free.
The first one was last weekend, Monday was the day that a resistance group was formed during WWII to oppose occupation.

Earlier this week I was approached by a company who were interested in me going to work for them. They called me and we discussed a role and how I would fit it, and all seemed good. They asked me in for an interview and I felt positive about it.
This morning I got an e-mail - interview cancelled and job gone.
