Excellent book! My Dad gave it to me 20 years ago, and I still review it from time to time.

This is my second copy. I loaned my first copy to a friend over 10 years ago, and never got it back. In fact, my wife read part of it and that's the reason for the counterinsurgency and guerrilla warfare books (know your enemy, and know yourself).

Those are actually books that should be presented to the groom in a wedding. They need to learn survival tactics more than anyone else.

I am glad you have moved on from your previous reading material.
BTW, did you ever find out where Spot actually was?

This[^] one's quite fun, too -- almost as much fun as admiralty manual of seamanship (which is three volumes, but doesn't appear to have been converted to e-books).

If you haven't read them, also get the Stephen Hunter novels about Bob Lee Swagger and his father. All of them are pretty excellent. I can't remember the name, but the one of his dad going to Cuba to assasinate Fidel is one of favourite stories.
