Installed for me on the second attempt - the first failed with a cryptic HRESULT error.

You could always try Microsoft's tool[^] to create your own installation media.

I guess I'm lucky anyway, though: Every time it has failed, it has been able to successfully roll back to Win 8.1 (for what it's worth).

A friend of mine was less fortunate. He got Win 10 installed, but after the install, explorer.exe didn't work, so no desktop, no taskbar, no start button etc.

But at least Powershell worked, so who needs explorer? Laugh | :laugh:
