I'll be fine in a couple of weeks. It just makes things...uncomfortable...and since the medical treatment is painkillers and "be carefull with it" there's not a lot else I can do anyway.

I fractured mine years ago slipping on ice - I was off work for about 10 weeks, as I couldn't sit down, so couldn't drive or work at a desk. I couldn't walk in comfort for more than a few minutes and had difficulty finding a comfortable sleeping position. I was a wreck and feel sorry for you!
It's not a fracture they can immobilise, and they can't put your ass in a sling!

Windows update is rather annoying me. I started an update about 8am and after the download and update it went into reboot and more updates. Then three hours or so in I get this elephant -
Failure configuring Windows updates
Undoing changes
Don't turn off your computer
After an hour I think it should have done it!

I may have deaded it. Goes through post boot "updating your system", gets to 10% and hangs.
Is there any way to stop the updates on boot?

Ouch! My wife's HP all-in-one did that a few months ago. After a few failed starts, (assuming Win8) it should trigger the advanced options for restoring/etc. The restore points in my case were useless and I had to rebuild it from scratch.  Good luck!

I'm back at the beginning now, reinstalling everything. Maybe I'll wait and get my breath back before trying any more updates.
