Oh yeah, that's fun. Try calling Delphi6 dlls from C#. To make life easier I wrote an additional Delphi dll to act as gatekeeper to handle the differences between how C# (and most everything else) handles strings verses how Delphi handles them. The GateKeeper translates the strings then passes them onto the actual dll doing the work.

I've done that too. Had to create Crystal Reports to replace Delphi's QuickReports. Had to write code to call the CrystalReports dlls from Delphi code. I thought it was easier going Delphi to C# than C# to Delphi.

Hi All,
Just had a phone interview. They always leave me with a feeling that I have just said the wrong thing. I think the guy on the end of the phone was expecting someone who had more High Frequency design experience than I have  . You are not alone. There are others having the same problem after Firefox has been updated to version 42.

I just checked with FireFox (version 39.0 and the latest, 41.0) and I still see them...

It's an on-going problem with the server-side browser detection code ... which just goes to show why you shouldn't use server-side browser detection! 
The results from this page[^] will help the hamsters track down the problem. The usual request is to email them to Chris.
In the meantime, you could always change your useragent to spoof FF41.

My last position and current position were both phone interviews.
At the last site from 1999 to 2011; at the current site since leaving last site - only the weekend off between.

I find phone interviews awkward as I am never that good at saying 'I did X' and just find it easier to talk in person.
|
|
|
|
|
Since I avoid personal interviews as I am just a student at the moment. Most of the HRs and company owners reach me by mobile. Almost 80% of my interviews have always been through a mobile phone as they call me directly and start offering me different packages.
Frankly, the same feeling is going on at both ends. That is why, I would personally recommend that you look forward to a personal interview.

I must admit it's easier face to face. The fact that you take cues from expressions I find easier to take the hint to shut the elephant up!

A phone interview is getting a data set in an excel sheet. If it is a "interviewer" and NOT some manager of the company it leaves a bad taste.
I am really keen to see the office and people of a new company. It is the most important detail for me and one the other side cant deceive.

In my case it was the VP R&D with out any assistance from HR on a speaker phone!

If the interview is conducted over the phone by the people who work with the application, they can ask relevant questions. My last two positions have been via phone interviews, highly technical in nature, and I was asked how to solve relevant issues.

The only thing I want to hear when an interviewer calls, is the date of the actual interview. Anything that can be checked by phone can be verified by email.

I usually don't carry one at work, as it means interruptions whenever I'm in flow. If there is an offer, they can describe it and explain why I would be interested.
If they can't or won't, then they are not interested in hiring me.
