That's a pity, as some of us here must have known that Excel can do much more compared to pocket calculator in shorter amount of time. Hey, may be you could suggest to that bloke that abacus can sometimes do certain calculations much faster than pocket calculator and abacus doesn't need battery.

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?

That is correct.

Oh, I distrust Excel.
Excel, on the other hand, distrusts me much more.

Suggest that he uses the calculator on his phone.
But what I really wonder is, if you were to give him a VBA script that plugs into Excel that creates a calculator (like this one) would his brain short-circuit?

When you say "a nice easy one" you do know how dumb that makes the rest of us feel? Or is it just me?

Hopefully, it's just you!
I've noticed that what is an "easy clue" for some is impossible for others, and vice versa - maybe I shouldn't have called it easy ...
Mind you, I thought yesterday's was fairly easy - did it make sense to you once you had the answer?

Yes when you post the answer I usually know what the answer is.
How about next week you post the answer and we work out the question.

Usually I would agree with you, I often have struggled with supposedly easy ones. Pretty sure I have got it today though...
My tip of the day here would be:
When looking at a clue, have a quick check to see if any word, or pair of words, have the same number of letters as the answer. If so, then consider looking for an anagram. Especially when there is an anagram identifier such as "undid" present.

... that a great way to get rid of anger is to write letters to people you hate and then burn them.
Seems to be working well!
Only one question - what do I do with the letters?

Keep em as memory. Add pictures of the burning process. Make a memory wall. Connect the dots.
