"Blueprint starts off with Greek and Latin before old page sharpens The British and Americans for example."(11)
Apologies for lateness.
Setting up a new laptop for the Trainee Quantity Surveyor.
Major issue with the PlugIn Scan POS from the latest FF.
I cannot find a way of turning it off, so if anyone has an idea, I would be appreciative.

I'm embarrased to admit that I actually checked to see if anglopfiles was a real word
blueprint = plan
blueprint starts off = an
greek = g
latin = l
old = o
page = p
sharpens = hones
anglophones = English-speaking persons, especially in a country where two or more languages are spoken

Rage wrote: What could be an anglopfile ? Well, an anglophile is an admirer of England and things English, so it was not too far off.
One of these days I'm going to think of a really clever signature.

No no, that was no criticism, what I meant is "let's come up with a definition of anglopfile".
Anglopfile: noun, English personal file.

Wow, just wow!
I've ben following this CCC stuff for a couple of years now and still haven't got a clue. Even the supposedly easy ones escape me completely. I've even read Daves article, but I'm still lost.
Good work!

Cryptic clues are all about the setter even though there are basic rules involved. Once you get used to their patterns it gets easier.
I reccomend you study Dave's previous clues for 'clues'
Here is my basic process with this clue:
'Greek and Latin' was first. That didn't really fit as anything but 'g' and 'l' (Dave often uses single letters like this)
I couldn't see any other meaning for 'old page' so tried 'o' and 'p' (see previous comment)
'Blueprint starts off' was likely to mean that the leading letters of a synonym for 'Blueprint' were to be deleted hence 'an' (blueprint=plan, amongst other things)
After that it got a bit easier
My first thought for sharpens was 'files' (hence the silly comment)
But then I saw sense and went with 'hones'

Which part of my post didn't you get?
"Following for years", that includes looking at the solutions.
"Read Dave's article", that ... shall I go on?
Take the compliment and leave it at that
Cheers!

Well done.
I am presuming the Wine has flowed.
Not often you make a spelling error.

I'll admit a little too much Aussie Shiraz has passed my lips tonight. Makes it harder to anunciate the 'esses'! (or to type them it seems)
I wonder who is to blame for that (an hour more drinkin' time)!

You cur!
How you could you insinuate such a thing. Mozilla have saved me from the demon that is Microsoft.
I have for some years now worshiped at the altar of the fire fox and the thunder bird.
I've even managed to excommunicate myself from the 'Microsoft Office' and now I'm free! (LibreOffice free )
