If it's any consolation, I was chopping onions last Friday (to fry for hot dogs for lunch) but I was wearing my "walk-about" glasses instead of my "reading", or "computer" glasses.
Guess who cut the tip off his left thumb? 
Only a small piece - size of your little fingernail - but bled like anything and I still have a bandage to prevent me knocking it...surprising how much it affects my typing!

No she was quite good, really - she even put the plaster on. Then the second one on that, and the third...
So I moved to a latex glove and waited until it had calmed down a bit before we put a "proper" bandage on...

No, she even (with huge reluctance) offered to do the washing up for me until it was sorted. I blew it though, suggesting it might take a couple of years was probably a mistake.

But I am not old. Sure, I had to get reading glasses a couple of years ago and yes, sometimes it takes a while to get a good steady stream going...wait...where am I going with this?

 My wife is a good driver and has plenty of confidence. At one point she had an old Navigator and she would parallel park that monster as if she was born to do it. It's great because she doesn't really get dings and scratches, but it sucks because that leaves me without a comeback when something like this happens.

Normally my wife is the same. But a while ago when she was parking MY car right next to a good friends car, she got to close and scratched up the entire side of both cars (I don't think she ever told our friend, but her car was a wreck even before it got the extra scratch, so what the heck).
I didn't say anything, because I tend to scratch the car myself at regular intervals. I don't think it's really a question of distance perception, more of carelessness.
I'm not really that careful about my car. As far as I'm concerned, it's mostly a tool that gets me from A to B, and it can do that just as good with a few scratches as it can without.
But as the car ages, I seem to get more and more careful. I realize that I might have to sell it and buy a new in a not too distant future, and it will of course have a higher value with less scratches...

Scratches and dings have advantages in a car:
1) Nobody wants to steal it.
2) Everybody gives way, because they don't want you to hit them - and it's clear you hit lots in the past...

Ahh, that takes me back to when I had just gotten my license and I hit my brother's Alfa Romeo when trying to park my parents' Citroen next to it. Good times.

I did that a few years back pulling up to the pump in a filling station. Makes one feel quite stupid.

Although I have a Twitter account, I very rarely use it, but in recent days I've had a couple of strange tweets sent from my account. One simply said "Hi!" and another said "Fwd:(5)". I received an email from Twitter last night to say that they had reset my password as they suspected my account had been compromised.
Needless to say I've changed my password, but I'm not sure how it could have been hacked in the first place - the original password was very strong, and I only access Twitter via Windows phone and iPad, so can't see malware being to blame on these platforms?
This seems to have been a widespread thing, as I've found a number of people who have had the same "Fwd:" tweets sent from their accounts recently, but I've not heard anything about a possible Twitter hack/attack. Anyone?
