I prefer to meet Nagy in his normal Gin-infused state on the road than my wife sober.
People used to drinking a lot of alcohol ARE better at handling it than those that don't, but you can't measure that and make it hold in court.
The alcohol meter is used because the measurement is undisputable, not because the value has anything to do with your ability to drive.
I could probably add that I was more dangerous on the road this morning after a night keeping an eye on a son having a high fever, than I would be after a beer, or even a couple.

That´s the problem, most people THINK they are able to drive as good with a few beers (so not the "drunk" state), but your reaction ability slows down significantly when there is alcohol intake, even if your used to it.
I do agree that being tired or on medication or just having a bad day can be equally dangerous. That´s the reason I will not drive after a bad night

Oh, I didn't say you should drive after drinking. I meant to say that you're actually more dangerous after a night lacking sleep, but there's no way to measure that and therefore legal.

Had an uncle that drove much better after a couple of drinks. Worst sober driver I ever saw.

It doesn't just spot drunks - it also detects some forms of drug use.
The idea isn't just "can you walk in a straight line" it also checks your balance, ability to follow instructions exactly, and concentration.
It's also done in the US in front of the car camera, so that a magistrate can see exactly how incapable of walking the person was - and in many states breath tests aren't admissible in court, where field sobriety tests[^] are.

To establish probable cause for the traffic stop. Once the officer proves behind a reasonable persons doubt that you are intoxicated then they compel you to take the test as a reasonable suspicion of being drunk.
That, and have you ever seen super troopers? These guys get bored and just want to see what the people will come up with. Have you seen the video of the guy attempting a backflip and face planting?

Yeah I just finished debugging and writing my most complicated SQL script ever!
Though is only 300 lines long it has:
- create user defined table type
- used it in the stored proc defined below as argument
- use WHILE with BREAK and CONTINUE
- use IF
- create @Memory Tables
- use CTE
- use UNION
- use CASE in select, where and having
- use inner and outer join
- use group by, having, sum,
Yeah!
It's for an advanced dynamic user search (arbitrary number of arbitrary criteria and or/and condition on an arbitrary complicated tree of joined data table) (arbitrary here means user defined!)

I was just wondering if it would be more readable as the LINQ folks claim.
I used SQL for many years before going over to LINQ but that is just a personal decision. They both work.

Amongst other thing I don't quite think it is possible. I do a join with a user defined table type, which would be a join between an IList and an IQueryable. Not supported by LINQ
Further I doubt I can make it all happen in just one db call..

You forgot to squeeze a GOTO into the mix...in mine below, I was working with batch deletion due to space constraints and variable daily record commits and didn't want any human intervention.
