The normal brew for the Missus's lot. Add sugar before heating if required (most people take it sweet), to preserve the foamy head.

I love it when I can get it. At home I have espresso, but occasionally add cardamom for that extra fun!

18 yo daughter - quite mature, safe driver, but typical 18 yo - completely full of themselves. They have it ALL under control....
So, I'm working in the garage with my eldest son, replacing a hub assembly on his truck... I hear our minivan pull into the driveway... Hmmm, I think, must by 18yo on break from work... 5 seconds later I hear CRUNCH! Yes, she has tagged the left rear bumper of my wife's new Sequoia.
Thankfully, no damage to the bumper, but the minivan needs a new headlight assembly.

As it stands, I recall looking up, seeing the Sequoia shaking, thinking, "oh $$$$! I'm not telling mom"

Wow, what a great teaching opportunity for you and your daughter.
Time for her to learn responsibility, get a job, and pay for that headlight! Then she will truly 'know it all' and have it 'under control'.
(she is paying for her own insurance and gas already, right? right?)

oh, she's pissed. The deal I run for all of my new drivers - if they can go 6 months without an accident, I'll give them the deductible. She had less than 3 weeks to go So, in addition to the loss of the deductible, she has to buy the replacement parts.
I kept telling her she needed to be extra careful... but no, she has it all under control... I have way, way too much experience with new drivers. I feel like a dang insurance company...

Oh, I like that idea... I might have to steal that, as my boys are rapidly approaching that age, much to the sadness of my wife!!

I'll give all of you some advice I learned the hard way:
1) stop worrying about them wrecking the car. They WILL wreck it. They may wreck it being
overly cautious. Once you accept fate you'll live a better life.
2) never ever let them drive the family car everyone depends on. See #1.
3) make them pay the insurance. If they cannot, they don't drive.
This may sound cruel and obvious, but over the years I have learned that the
more you insulate older children from the cost of life, the less they mature.
4) If you catch them driving or in a car without a seatbelt on, they lose their
license. Not negotiable. I also joke that I have given permission for the
local police to tase them under the same conditions. They aren't sure if
I'm joking or serious - good.
Obviously these are generalities, you may have the perfect teen or a budding NASCAR driver (or Formula 1 for you Europeans).

All very good advice. My plan is to give them a saving goal (say $1000) and agree to match it to purchase their first car. All young person driving can then be done in their own car. And if they break it, they buy the next one themselves. 
With the cost of registration/insurance over here, it will be a mission just to save up for those each year with a part time job!!

Can you imagine the horrific damage that would have occured if she didn't have it ALL under control. She probably saved all humanity by her precise actions. Consider yourself lucky that only the headlight was damaged, well done duaghter.

Damage is a normal and expected part of parking.

They must teach that method in the schools in my city... because it seems that everyone has used my bumper to stop while parking.

They used to be, when they were made off good solid steel. But now they are mostly made from plastic and styro-foam. Just have to look at them the wrong way and they fall apart.
