Well, technically, these celebrities did not. They had pictures on their self-phones, which were sync-ed to the iCloud. Most of them were probably unaware of the sync-ing, which could also be the reason why they did not care that much.

As for taking naked selfies, I totally agree with you, I cannot see the point. Which makes me feel kind of special, not sure whether good or not, because a lot of people seem to be doing it.

For some of these "celebs" the only way we'd be seeing something we haven't seen before is if they also have MRI scans stored on their computers.

This happened to a couple of mates of mine at Accenture - not the selfie thing but the auto sync.
They'd downloaded some booby pics to their phone, then sync'd what they thought were just their diaries & contacts with their work PC. This was their own (ie non-work owned) mobiles BTW.

Unfortunately, they'd been syncing for months, but the company introduced a zero-tolerance porn policy, so they were sacked. It caused a huge kerfuffle, it was proved that the files were synced rather than downloaded, all the management team in the office signed a petition to have them re-instated as it clearly wasn't their fault. It went to tribunal, and they we re-instated, but not because they weren't culpable (which would have made sense) but because a manager in a different office was caught out immediately after the ban and reinstated.

They both left Accenture a few months later, by the time the tribunal had happened everyone knew who they were and why they were sacked & it was too embarrassing for them to stay. ~~Sometimes~~ Often life is just a bit too much like Dilbert for comfort.
