Some background, We have a DVD-player strapped to the headrests in the car, one master and one slave monitor.
Now being the four year old he is, our eldest decided to test the strength of the cable between the two units.
Since the cable is not available for buying anymore and one of the connectors is nonstandard I need to buy a new machine before Christmas, or get a nervous breakdown during the Christmas travels.
But then I got the brilliant idea to buy two tablets instead, and to play movies on one device and duplicate the screen on the other.
Yes, they obviously need to be able to see the same movie at the same time. And I, or even my wife, needs to be able to control it from a phone while sitting in the front seat.
So now a battery of questions emerges.
- Are there any good apps for screen casting TO tablets? (There are tons for casting to TVs from tablets)
- Will the casting be in sync on both units or will there be a noticeable delay soundwise?
- Will the app allow both master and slave mode?
- Are there any holders available for fastening a tablet to the neck rest?
- Is this at all a viable approach or should I stop wasting my time
I could go on but I think I'll stop there for now

Often times the sky is the limit if without having it have more than more or less 1 tablet required the converged functionality, eat while you compute (which at the same time involves email, multitask, browsing, at the lower level tabs in multiples of each), increasing value per byte of goodput

Each to his own, I guess, but you need a screen in the car for the kids - Have you tried talking to them, playing games, interaction human to human has worked for thousands of years !

Human-to-human interaction means that little kids are actually human. They are insane humanoids capable of inducing murderous rage in adults.

I've got that comment a couple of times, usually from people without children of their own, but nothing you can't treat with a bit of babysitting.
Just to put thing into relation a bit. The drive to the grand parents is fifteen hours. And not visiting is a bad option I find.
The drive to the other grandfather is just three hours and is done without movies.
