And all I want to do, is to re-engineer a simple Windows WPF desktop app into an Apple desktop app. And for all its bloated size, VS2015 Update 2 does not seem able of this simple task! Xamarin is all about iOS and Android. It does not seem to have any capability to output anything for Apple desktops. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaargggggh!

Yep, same experience here...even after downloading and running from the iso, two installs on two different machines were 2+ hours each. I really haven't started using it yet, just a POC for an Android app using Xamarin, and another POC for a IVR/softphone app. I still use VS 2010 for most stuff.

Nice! Just got back from AZ, went to the Lowell Observatory, got to view Jupiter through the 24" telescope very, very cool. Also, got to see the Whirlpool and Cigar galaxies, the Grand Canyon was alright, but this place was the definate highlight of the trip!

Every year, the week leading up to koning(in)sdag (this Wednesday) has the worst weather we see all year, then on koning(in)sdag itself is the best, most beautiful weather we get all year.
And when I say "every year", I mean "EVERY YEAR!"
Right now, outside, there's thunder, lightning, and three quarters of an inch of Hail! Solid balls of ice, 6-8mm in diameter! We don't get weather this bad in the depths of Winter.
But on Wednesday, you won't be able to wear a coat, it'll be so sunny and hot; just wait and see.
