Apologies for the meta-observation:
The one that pisses me off is, every standard defines a method for extending the standard to cover new situations. Over time, people realize that the extension method doesn't cover all the cases, so they define a new standard, with a new extension method. The process then recurses into its own navel.

I absolutely concur, semantic versioning (ala Rust) for language versions.
Breaking changes necessitate a new language version.
Minor, non-breaking changes are minor versions.
Bug fixes and the like are revisions.

I was bored enough yesterday to drill down to the analytics dashboard where that 6.5% number came from. 6.5% was from when the original objections were raised a few years back. It's down to about 2% now. Journalism at its finest.

This is quite interesting for me, my girlfriend is Indian and she is always going on about vegetarianism  Don't really understand the relative sizes of the circles though? Sometimes they make sense and sometimes they don't (like Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh).

I'm not sure. Most of them look like the split is by area; but you're right about a few looking messed up. I'd add HR to the list of ones that look errored, it's 30% omnivores circle is bigger than the 33% in PB or the 39% in GJ.
Regardless this is just a crappy way to represent the data, any model where linear and area measures don't scale the same is fubar.

I would imagine that most Indian's diet is mostly vegetarian and that meat is a small part of their regular diet.
It is still a big number of people.

It depends on the state really. Kerala for instance is big on meat and seafood. Kerala style beef fry and curry are probably two of the best meat preparations from India.

Personally I wouldn't care even if it was a breakdown of AC/DC vs ABBA fandom. The graphics are RUBBISH. If you need to write the actual percentages beside the image then your choice of image is fundamentally flawed. The only circular graph that could express the difference meaningfully would be a pie-chart. Using that damned awful concentric circle is uninformative at best; if not outright misleading. Area comparison, even when both are the same shape, are actually hard for the human eye and are rarely chosen to be informative.
People who can't display data meaningfully should be shot with a rusty bolt through the nadgers!

Oh, there's nowt wrong with Indian veggie food!
A few years back, a mate of mine in Birmingham used to have me round for meals, at least once a week.
He lived with his mother and four sisters -- and I kid you not when I say that he didn't even put his own socks on!
The food was veggie, but copious, incredibly varied, and Absolutely Stupendous!
I'd happily go veggie in India, but wouldn't even think about it in Europe or the Orient.
