The autoveloxes are more dangerous than useful IMHO because they force the driver to put too much attention to the speedometer to the detriment of the attention on the road. My (only) car accident happened precisely because I reacted half a second too slowly - I had to watch the speedometer to be sure I was under the limit - to a car which suddenly stopped in front of me.
Of course if the idiot in the other car had used the indicators in due time instead of suddenly braking because she just remembered she had to stop at the gas station (on the other side of the road) probably it would have been better...

Does it actually uninstall them?
It looks like it just removes the shortcuts, leaving the entire app as "residue".
If so, it's a Hell of a ridiculously complicated and time-wasting way of deleting shortcuts -- which puts it right in line with microsoft's policy, for the last few years.

Remove-AppxPackage[^] uninstalls the app for the current user, but leaves a "provisioned" version of the app on disk, and doesn't affect other user accounts on the same computer.
Remove-AppxProvisionedPackage[^] removes the "provisioned" version of the app. From what I've heard, you can use it to completely screw your system, to the point where you have to reinstall Windows if you want to reinstall the apps - especially if you go anywhere near the Store app.

I had never heard of this hoax before. Did this fool people in the US and other parts of the world or was it mostly just in Sweden? Anyone remember this?

Actually, a method of transmitting viewable color to B&W Televisions was proposed and somewhat tested. It had to do with perceived color by rapidly stroking the various regions on the screen to give the sensation of color. (You may have seen this, for example, on spinning B&W patterns).
I cannot say why it wasn't pursued - I'd guess inducing headaches may have been amongst them.

Well actually...
... there is something called composite artifact colors.[^]
This was used to bring a hint of color into monochrome computer graphics. It was in fashion for a time on the 8 bit Ataris or the Apple ][. A long time I thought that these were just ugly monochrome graphics modes until I finally heard that the programmers tried to make use of this effect on purpose.
Edit: Oh no! In the Wiki article they mention the TRS-80 color computer! It had a Motorola 6847 graphics chip that produced those beautiful artifacts. Guess what graphics chip I have here for the little computer I'm building?

Because the nylon blurs the screen making it harder to use, it actually converts a windows machine to linux. You'll have to command line everything.

Wow, that article brings back some memories.
Around 1968 we used black pantyhose as anti-glare on CRT screens that were set into benchtops. I don't recall any colour artifacts, but it was very effective in breaking up reflections.
In the same general era, my sister-in-law had a blue/pink/green overlay on her B&W tv. I found it disconcerting.

We were told to convert to color only had to replace a tube; had visions of this being something akin to a small piece of hose pipe.
Later we did upgrade, and got the latest model complete with a remote control - attached to the TV by a wire. That was really innovative as if you lost the remote could follow the wire back from the TV - why don't they do that these days?

I do remember watching the moon landing on a color TV. Why? I do not know as the camera was black and white.
