Count yourself lucky. I have a 'full' keyboard on my Tosh with separate number pad and proper cursor keys, great for dev work and proper keyboarding. Except...
The up key is FUBAR and so I have to have numlock off so that I can have move the cursor up.

I don't know if you're supposed to be an Apple fanboi, but given the number of complaints you post about various aspects of your MacBook or OS X or whatever...you're actually doing a terrible job promoting anything Apple.
Or is that all part of some sort of clever reverse-psychology scheme? You are, after all, at the head of one of the most popular sites dedicated to Windows development...

We're not dedicated to Windows development. We're dedicated to development in any shape or form. We just have lots of .NET stuff due to our personal expertise / preferences and that of our audience.
In terms of Apple stuff, I love their stuff. Or loved. I think their devs need a slap around the head, and I think John Ive needs to back off the minimal and understand we live in the real world. I'm also very, very disappointed in Tim Cook taking Apple back to the dark times of a series line so complicated that not even the execs at Apple understood it. (and that's when Steve came back and made the company what it is. Or was.)
sigh. It's complicated.

Yeah, definitely, but the more Swift / Node / React / Java / COBOL / Whatever we get the better. The days of being able to sit on one stack are long gone. (Though Xamarin does try and insulate us and pretend there's nothing else out there).

Just got a Lenovo lappy and they put the page up key where the shift key should be. It would be bad enough if I was a touch typist but I'm not and it is really irritating.

One of my lappies (ASUS K53S) has the inverted T cursor keys such that up lives where my finger expects the last bit of the right shift key. So, hold shift, glance down for $ or whatever and wind up typing 4 a couple of pages above where I intended $. GRRR!!!! Fortunately I found a decent wireless keyboard/mouse combo. The keyboard with the legs down neatly straddles the lappie keyboard. And a real rodent beats the hell out of a touchpad.

When I plugged in the wireless rat it disabled the touchpad which was not a problem until the rat ran out of battery. No extra battery and no touchpad - irritating in the extreme.
I later found I can have both active as only the install disables the touchpad.

My new mobile phone has a feature that activates every Sunday, and creates a lovely slideshow, complete with soothing music, of all the photos taken during the week.
So now I can sit down, every Sunday, and enjoy a lovely candle-lit meal with my beautiful wife, and we can gaze with unabashed romanticism at the pictures of hardware cabinets, server blades, terminal servers, etc.
Such joy these amazing phone-app developers bring us, and how wise they are to make the apps impossible to uninstall (without root), because it is certain that everyone will want the apps to switch themselves on every Sunday until forever.
