Is the MS Build keynote really at 1:30am DST (daylight savings time)?
That would be like 5:30am UTC, right?
It says it is 17 hours and some minutes from now on the countdown timer on CP front page.
Is that right? Just curious.

The counter shows just under 17 hours for me. If you're seeing 10, I wonder if CP's accidentally mixing absolute and the viewers local times into the calculation somehow.

Microsoft says it starts on 10th of May - Arstechnica is about 11th of May...

I thought that 5:30am UTC (1:30 Daylight Savings Time eastern us) sounded a bit odd.
It looks like everyone is reporting odd times on that timer.
I was just very curious about a key note at that time. Sounded very odd.

The timer changed for me now. It says 1 day 2 hours and some.
It's actually 2 hours from now -- as you've noted and the MS Build site shows that it happens at 8:30am PDT.

The official site[^] says it starts 8 am Wednesday for me. Wired[^] adds that the keynote is at the start. I assume it's 8am PDT or 11 AM EDT, but couldn't immediately confirm it either way.

It showed 10 hours for me some time ago but has changed now to 1 day, 2.5 hours.
That might be correct for the Thursday keynote.
They should have asked here at QA before on how to implement a count down timer.

I lived in Turkey in 1976, and it reminded me very much of 1956 in North Wales, where I went to school.
