No games on that computer, only work... 
So I don't need a monitor that big... two of them side by side to get the job done as soon as possible and of course, in a comfortable way.

Honestly, for programming, two monitors is too few.
For me: One monitor right, code
One monitor left, google, code project, et al...
One monitor middle, program run
I feel I need one more monitor, maybe two..

OK, I'm more than satisfied with one laptop and two 24" monitors... I do not need anything else... at least not now.

I got a wonderful Lenovo T460s laptop and a ultra dock docking station where I have two 24" monitors plugged in.
Usually the laptop display is used for mail, music... and the two 24" for everything else...
But I guess I'll stay that way for a long time.

Neither - I'd pay the slight premium to get 1920x1200 in a 24" display. The extra 60 pixels at the top and bottom actually make a significant difference.

At the end I've went a little bit more premium and bought a couple of p24h-10 which are 2560x1440.
For only 60€ more... I'll have a much better resolution, dpi and response time from 6 to 4ms.

My grandparents are celebrating 60(!) years of marriage next week.
No one knows how they did it, but we think it's because grandpa is never at home (he's always out working, fishing or collecting scrap metal)

You've beaten me. It will my 54th at the end of the month.
The easiest way is to keep out of sight. I use a bedroom upstairs as my "office" which she keeps out of; she can't stand the mess. Every Monday she throws a duster through the door for me to "make it look clean and tidy". I suspect she secretly cleans it when I go to play bowls. It hasn't been tidied up, but you can see things have been moved and the furniture does seem to have a little more shine.
Still, you've got to love them, haven't you?
