As for me, and I am within a year or two of you, I doubt I will ever retire. One of my hobbies is playing with programming languages. Here, I am getting paid for my hobby! I haven't worked a day in years!
My other job is ranching. Yes, I know, it sounds crazy, but I really enjoy it, even though it means caring for my herd and the guard dogs first thing in the morning (4:30 AM) and last thing at night (10:30 PM). (My wife cares for them during the day.) It is sooo peaceful with my nearest neighbors being one tenth of a mile away - I could never go back to urban or suburban living.
Have you heard of how the rancher's retirement party opens? The minister, in a very somber tone, begins with: "Dearly beloved, we are gathered today the celebrate the life of ..."

The last time I bought a desktop PC was about two years ago and I did not look
at what is currently available until yesterday. Now I find variations of the
mini Intel NUC PC everywhere. Looks good, lots of configuration options. Any
user comments?

We all have access to the same information, so you're either going to get a reply with Google search results, or an actual reply that was taken from a specific Google search result.
