If you're lazy get a white car, white can go longest without needing to be washed, light blue or green next best, and surprisingly red 'aint bad either but not pink.
Black is the worst, after washing it'll look dirty again before you're done putting the wash bucket away. Many first time private limo drivers go for black because [indeed] it looks way cooler, almost always their second and subsequent limos will be white.

They had better be. The powershit gearboxes are personally blessed by satan himself. The good ladies one had to be totally rebuilt (luckily at fords expense) because of constant shuddering at low speed. The internet is fully of stories of ford powershit gearboxes.

I like fords, they are tough, simple, and get the job done. If you want comfort and great ride, as well as excellent driver feedback, of you like driving, then Alfa's are the best IMO.

My wife just sold her 1987 Toyota Camry. Last year she was rearended and totalled our 1995 Ford Taurus. My favorite cars were my 1982 Mercury Cougar. Wrecked when it had over 200,000 miles and still in good shape
Next was my 1984 Ford Thunderbird. Man I loved that red car!

You sound like me. I'm 54 - have owned 6 cars in my life (starting at 17) and 3 of them are still sitting in front of my house (all being used). I hate paying for cars but when I do I drive them forever - that's why I like Toyotas! 
I'm pretty sure I would not like to live in a world in which I would never be offended.

 well I took the plunge and threw myself at the mercy of some sales people. Walking onto the car lot, I felt like I was a lamb going to the slaughter. But it was funny, I had made appointments to speak to specific sales people. The look of disappointment was hilarious.
Anyway, so I drop a used Lexus RX350 (nice, cushy, etc...), an Acura RDX (meh), and a Toyota RAV4 (which just surprised the heck out of me). Huge amount of leg room and the seats are to kill for. I was driving the used cars at the Honda dealership, so I figured it would be worth my time to chat at the local Toyota place.
In driving some of their RAV4s, I was checking prices and what not. There are huge numbers of off-lease vehicles hitting the American market - many 2015s with almost no mileage on them. And the I noticed for another $1,000, I could get a new 2018 that includes a lifetime power train warranty (me or the car), etc.
I think this is the first time I've shopped for cars at dealers in almost 30 years....

I'm essentially retired (though just starting a big new project for a previous client...) but even so continue to browse Code Project. I've noticed quite a few contributors saying "I'm retired now, but..." and wondered just how many of us have hung up our mice for the last time (There must be a better analogy but I've not come across it).
Are we retirees actively developing new code/projects of our own? Tinkering with support for ex-clients? Learning brand new skills / technologies just for the love of it? Or do we hang around in the CP lounge because the virtual ex-colleagues there are the only friends we have, and we have nothing better to do...
Just curious...
