It has become glaringly apparent that me and late nights are no longer friends. We were out till around 2am last night/this morning. I am now a train wreck with a headache.
I guess you get out of practice... 9pm is considered a late night in LA.

I know the feeling. The days when I could stay up all night and still go to work the next day are long past me. Now I'm happily tucked into bed by 11 or 12 ish ... and up at 5 or 6 ready for the day.
It's a sign of maturity, not age I fervently hope...

I think I'm blessed/cursed with the late night thing. I've always been a night bird (since I was a little kid) and still work until 2-3am. But getting up in time for the 11am standup is hard. I need my beauty sleep.
My ideal workday would be:
- awake for 18 hours
- sleep for 8 hours

I was going to make the observation that they have more categories than I have movies, but came upon this:
Goofy Movies starring Bill Murray (2481)
Goofy Movies starring Eddie Murphy (2390)
Goofy Movies starring John Candy (19)
Goofy Movies starring John Candy (19)
Goofy Movies starring Will Ferrell (3816)
Ok, I don't know how they come up with these figures, but these four certainly haven't done a total of even 1000 movies, combined (and yes, John Candy being there twice is their mistake, not me incorrectly pasting this in).
Even if all of their movies were translated into every single last language that currently exists, I think they'd probably fall short. Even taking multiple editions into account.
Are they counting the same movies if they have them stored with multiple bitrates and multiple resolutions?
I'm starting to think Netflix has astonishingly overinflated numbers.

Since we're discussing female drivers I wanted to see if there is a real trend here or if it's just a weird trait with my wife, mom, step-daughter, and female colleague.
All mentioned would rather perform a tight three point turnaround beside the garage instead of just backing out of the driveway like a normal person. All mentioned have either backed into the house (no damage to the house, just the cars) or will just drive on the grass/sprinkler heads without a care.  btw, it's a very quiet street.

My wife is odd too - she can't read a map without rotating it so it matches what she sees in front of her - and unless she knows where she is on a map she can't use it at all; she has no way to (for example) think "that sign says that A is about 10 miles that way, and B is 5 miles this way - so I must be about here, somewhere"
Fortunately, sat nav means she doesn't have to any more...
And a friend of mine - Irene - never mastered the concept of parallel parking. I've seen her stop the car and ask the stranger in the car behind to park it for her. I suspect she is still driving round Islington hoping that the "Parking Gene" will magically be bestowed upon her.
