Honestly, it reduces friction for me since I can use the same CLI on a client as on any given server, with a better command structure to boot. Why Ubuntu rather than just a BASH for Windows, though, I cannot say. That bit annoys me.

My "device" is running Ubuntu 18.04.
One of my Windows 10 VM's is at 27%, the other did its thing yesterday. Pays to have several.
If you can keep your head while those about you are losing theirs, perhaps you don't understand the situation.
