sadly some might will, little old ladies and suchlike.
me moms in an old peoples village, some community group organized an event
(free tea & scone so they turned up, 50 or so people),
the question was asked "how many of you were scammed in the last year"
my mom expected maybe 1, at most 2 ...about 1/3 of the group put up their hands.
some of the scams described were pretty damn obvious, there's many gullible lonely widows
(mom not, heck even I couldn't wiggle 10 cents of her for a 'life saving ice cream' or similar, the number of times I starved to death: uncountable ... ah but I digress)

If IT managers fall for it (and I don't think the good ones will), the less IT inclined will certainly fall for it.
