This is why I don't install pre-releases with microsoft products. Their pre-release setups get broken eventually and your updates hose your system for future installs.
Best to wait for release, or install prerelease on a VM

What's funny is i've seen microsoft test, and by any account they do a better job of it than a lot of software houses out there. full regression testing and code coverage. It's crazy, they have rooms full of people just writing tests.
But still, it is what it is. =/

I'm trying to draw a (very rough) guess at a new "lid" for my Sous Vide*
I've drawn a rectangle for the "indent" into the chamber and am rounding the corners to the right radius. And two of them are perfect! But the other two won't work - I just get an error message about corners not touching. An hour later, and I work it out: I'm selecting the corners in the wrong direction - you have to select them in the right direction: top left to bottom right, regardless of which corner it is. I've been selecting the left had pair TL-BR but the right hand pair BR-TL and for some reason that confuses it.
I hate other people's software, sometimes.
This is going to take a while, I think ... and this is just the "solid" version, not the "2mm thick with diagonal bracing" version I might want to print.
* I multi-purposed my deep fryer as I don't deep fry much, and it's quick to convert back. So it;'s a big metal insulated pot, and I added at 1/2 gastronorm perspex lid with a hole cut for the temperature controller - but it doesn't fit right, and I'd like to make a better one, with internal insulation. The possible 3D printer does up to 21x21x20cm, so I'd have to make it in four sections (or more accurately, eight - four bottom, four top so I can insulate the interior) but ...

I use TurboCAD and it's taken me forever to get beyond the square box with rounded corner stage.

Fusion 360 - it's free for hobbyists / startups and it's certainly fully featured.
Just wish the official tutorials were better.
It comes recommended by ThisOldTony, if you've seen any of his YouTube channel.

got a new samsung/android to replace my 3 year old samsung/android
- a little bit bigger (apparently twice the resolution)
- got 3 cameras!!! the old one only had 2
... that's 50% more camera for my half dozen or so pics per year!!
- got more memory
- got more battery (slightly)
- got more ... zzzzz
does everything the old one did ... some messages, calls [that I occasionally answer]. google maps, bike ride tracking, and, and, ummm, no I think that's it.
can't complain, free (as was the old one), well apart from wasting time to transfer my old info over
oh but yeah!!!
it's got the usb type c plug instead of the mini (micro?) usb
... so now I need another wire hanging around to charge it up (still need the old usb for some other items)
actual net gain: another charging cable I'll probably misplace sometime soon and have to order extra from fleabay. yay!

You can buy USB-C(M) to USB-B(F) connectors on FleaBay - they are about 25mm long, and would fit on your existing cable(s). Not expensive either - I bought some recently by mistake (I wanted USB-C(F) to USB-A(M)) and they were £3 for five.
Don't ask. Just don't.

hmmm, I'll use this one, and put the other 4 in a safe place.
either:
- lost (only found about a year after they become redundant while looking for something else)
or/and
- given today's chinesium production quality rot, leaving behind a toxic sticky mess (regardless climate.)

I just avoided buying four black toner cartridges for my old HP Colorjet. They worked out to be 25% cheaper each than if I bought just one. I bought just one.
I have had the printer for about eight years now and have just now needed to get a new black cartridge - extending this level of usage (and it's getting lower each year) means I avoided buying enough black toner for 32 years instead of only 8 years and saved spending almost three times as much for the privilege!
Eventually I might need to replace the other three colour cartridges - but not any time soon.

8 years down the road had you even found [that really safe place] where the other 3 were kept chances are some insects or vermin would have moved in, and the plastics disintegrated too. (including the wrapping leaving a rock solid toner mountain and permanent stains below)

Most new USB-C type phones support fast charging, but your charger needs to support it, so take care which one you are using

I was inspired by this post to try one last time to 'fix' my 5 y/o Windows Phone. For months now, the micro USB slot has been screwed up so that I had to hold the cable in place with an elastic band to get it to charge...even then it was finicky and sometimes would come out.
When it first happened, I did what was suggested here, using a toothpick to clean the contacts and the slot. It didn't work so I figured the slot was just screwed. This morning, I decided to try something a bit thinner/stiffer, so I got a sewing needle and started poking around, immediately digging out what looked like hard packed dirt/dust. It took some force to get in the slot on the thin side, but I finally got it all out! Now the cables seat correctly. Problem solved! 
One of the things I had been missing was the ability to plug up to my pc and access the phone and SD card through explorer, so I tried that now and it did not work...the phone shows charging, but device not showing up in explorer. I tried another cable...no joy.  I found the original cable for the phone and tried it...and it worked! Apparently, not all micro-usb cables are the same. Yay! I don't need to get a new phone after all!

I have a 3T. The camera stopped focusing the other day, hitting it on a hard surface like a concrete wall helps it to get its act together, for a short duration. Annoying. Wondering if the shoogling in the quad bike storage box has been the issue or if it is related to the common issue that is reported online. I had been holding off an upgrade just because it was working so well and nothing wrong with it, did everything I needed. Not now.....
