I'll reserve judgement until I've (a) read the article, and (b) seen how precise their results are, and (c) seen a prediction made by their theory which differs from what the Standard Model predicts. Note that many numerologists, playing with numbers, have matched physical data to good accuracy. This doesn't mean that their "explanations" are correct.

My only thought would be that the Coronavirus has a chance to kill more than 36K in a year if not stopped or slowed down? not sure.
Oh, and the masks, worthless. CDC officials have gone on record as saying they are worthless. People still wear them, and officials still say to put them on. I don't understand that one either.

It is spread by coughing, so no, it is not worthless. The mask is not there to protect you, but others. It provides a little protection for the one who wears it, as does washing your hands - but that is NOT the same as being worthless.
Even when going to surgery, there's this rigourous cleaning of everything entering the operating-room. It is not 100% effective. Doesn't mean that people should suddenly stop that and start doing surgery in a pig-pen.

Yes it is worthless. the droplets are so small they can pass through the masks. it also absorbs through the skin, does not need to be inhaled, so yes, they are worthless, just as the experts have said.

No expert would ever say so. And while tiny "droplets" do exist, those have more chance to hit the fabric of the mask than the inside of your lungs.
A piece of cloth helps even with keeping smoke out if your house burns, as I recall. Of course it doesn't filter the air, but it does help.
You could wrap yourself in plastic and still get ebola. How come you insist that a proven tactic suddenly is "worthless"? Have you seen the price-increase of "worthless"??

Mutations can and will happen, which may affect infectiousness and mortality rates.
WHO has declared this epidemic an international emergency. The US has declared a national health emergency and has issued the first federal quarantine order in fifty years.

There's video's on youtube where people claim to have a cure. Anything to get a few clicks so the ads keep showing. News has a financial incentive to turn everything into the end of the world. The millenium-problem wasn't, but it did a lot of damage, and might have done more damage without the alarmist kind of media.
