Your memory for the esoteric is frightening. But that's awesome.

Hahaha, does answering here resurrect the thread, or not?
Anyway, we're doing fsharpConf again this year (see fsharpconf.com) and I managed to remember that I saw it back in 2016 on CodeProject, which was awesome (thanks so much for sharing it with all the CPians) and I was wondering if we could make the same thing happen again this year...
And as I was trying to find out if my memory is right, I came across this 2 year old thread and remember all the good times with CodeProject back in the days !

Hey Tomas,
It won't resurrect the thread. I'd suggest that you start a new thread in the Lounge. Good luck running the conf.

Hi Chris,
fyi: I don't find any link to the Conference on CP's home page (no ad-blocker running, site filter set to 'All). Finding the live stream was disturbingly difficult: I started by going to the F# Foundation's home page: no information. So searched on "F# Conferences: that led me to Lanyard.something, where I did, finally, locate a link to "fsharconf:" which had links to various sessions that were not available, but that finally led me to MSDN Channel 9 where a live stream is.
Was all this a test to find out if I am worthy of being admitted to the mysteries of F# ?
cheers, Bill

Let me repeat that unless these are thoroughly understood and remembered, all “general ideas” (so easily acquired, so profitably resold) must necessarily remain but worn passports allowing their bearers short cuts from one area of ignorance to another.» Vladimir Nabokov, commentary on translation of “Eugene Onegin.”

Decrease the belief in God, and you increase the numbers of those who wish to play at being God by being “society’s supervisors,” who deny the existence of divine standards, but are very serious about imposing their own standards on society.-Neal A. Maxwell

Yes they do, and in the billiards room there's a sign stating no Eight Ball allowed.

Does Watson say to his developers, "Hey guys I hear the FBI is giving Apple real trouble. Why don't you give them a call and tell them I'll do what they're sueing Apple for and charge only a nominal fee" only to get in reply from them the answer "Ok Watson, but we won't charge them anything. And we'll ask them to keep the fact that we cracked the terrorist's phone private"?

Siamese twins walk into a bar in Canada and park themselves on a barstool.
One of them says to the bartender, "Don't mind us; we're joined at the hip. I'm John, he's Jim. Two Molson, Canadian beers, draft please."
The bartender, feeling slightly awkward, tries to make polite conversation while pouring the beers. "Been on holiday yet, lads?"
"Off to England next month," says John. "We go to England every year, rent a car and drive for miles. Don't we, Jim?" Jim agrees.
"Ah, England!" says the bartender. "Wonderful country... the history, the beer, the culture..."
"Nah, we don't like that British crap," says John. "Hamburgers and Molson's beer, that's us, eh Jim? And we can't stand the English - they're so arrogant and rude."
"So why keep going to England?" asks the bartender.
"It's the only chance Jim gets to drive."
