In the '70s, I took several courses at college and a university where I started to learn about programming, hardware and electronics, but it wasn't until I finished university in '78 as a mining engineer and I went to work that I started to do more and more with computers. Eventually I moved away completely from the mining industry, around 1983, and have been programming for a living since then.

No need dude, I like that pose in nice location(even I want to take a snap of me in that kind of cute location).
Chris Meech wrote: The only thing old about it, is well the picture itself.
I didn't mean too old because I said only 'old guy' instead 'old man'. Also I'm just 24 so I show the respect.

But it's a good call to post your new picture here so you too can be young here.
BTW I suggest picture like current one(pose & location)
Fine, again I'll come here for another party by this young man.

Thanks for your care Chris. The matter is I wanna immigrate.Canada is my candidate. But I don't intend to consult you about my immigration process as it is irrelevant. You are a programmer and you live in Canada so you are familiar with details of employement as a programmer in Canada. To elucidate abilities as a programmer I will give a summary of my repertoire. I have bachelor degree of software engineering and 6 years of experience in web development for developing and maintaining a public facing website that has been and is on internet. The web site is successful between its rivals. It has admin section ,membership,it is SEO friendly,... not to get long I will cut it.
I really like my proffession as a web developer and am enthusiastic.
Well that was a terse introduction about me. As a foreigner I wanna immigrate not nececcarily in one stage. I need a job offer to get a work permit. So assuming that I am competent in my job how feasible do you see it for me to get employed successfully in Canada and live there?

I could be wrong, but that may not entirely be true. Depending upon your nationality, you would able to obtain a visa to come to Canada and while here, can apply for and obtain employment. However once your visa has expired, you are required to leave or you will be in the country illegally. On the other hand, if you are wishing to make Canada your permanent residence, then probably what you are saying is very true. But it will definitely be difficult to find a job and have a company sponsor you in order to emigrate hear. In previous decades, there were government run programs that assisted in this, but I don't think any of those programs are still in existence.
Perhaps something that might help you out, would be to obtain a 12 month visa and come and stay in places like Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary and Montreal to get a feel for what is available and possibly find a company or someone who would be willing to be your sponsor.
