Hi Corina,
I was pointed to your article on avi processing by another member Andrew Kirillov , in reply to my post : [http://www.codeproject.com/script/comments/forums.asp?msg=1231272&forumid=1649#xx1231272xx]
after having gone through your interesting article , i have noted that your app extracts images(or frames to be technical) from the avi as BMPs , I am currently required to save them as jpegs / gifs (as my project is web based).Could you pls give me any hints on how you aplication can be modifyed or by useing some other classes i can output the frames as web compatible formats mentioned above.
By the way nice Pic
regards
B

Hi B,
you might read the frames and save them as JPEG with .NET's default settings:
<br />
bitmap = videoStream.GetBitmap(currentFrameIndex);<br />
bitmap.Save(fileName, System.Drawing.Imaging.ImageFormat.Jpeg);

Hi Corinna,
First let me apologise for missing out on the extra “n” in your name in my last post .
Thank you very much for you prompt reply , your article will be really useful if I can just make enough sense of it !!. I am a beginner in C# and basically a web programmer(PHP,ASP).
I will keep you informed of my attempt at creating the web-based frame grabber component (thanks to the pointers from your article).
On a different note : In your posts there is this line included at the bottom:
“Please inform me about my English mistakes, as I'm still trying to learn your language!”
Well I think you should change the “learn your language” part to “learn this language” or “learn it” or something like that, after all English doesn’t belong to one community or country in particular anymore, but has become pretty global in its usage.
Once again , thanks a bunch.
Cheers.

Hello, Greetings from Portland oregon. I'm intending to use your code describing how to decode individual images from an AVI file. Thank you for posting the solution on the Code Project! Do you have any information about how to get the audio data from the AVI file?
|
|
|
|
|
Hello Pete,
please have a look at the AudioStream class. It reads the raw audio data from an AVI file:

Hallo Corinna
Ich bin über deinen Artikel zu Steganografie gestoßen und war überrascht, dass ein Mädel aus Deutschland den Artkel verfasst hat. Ich werde dann mal reinschauen.
Corinna John wrote: Do you have a boring day?

Was programmierst du denn so?

Was ich programmiere?

Hi Corinna,
My name is Brian and I am from Algonquin, Illinois which is in midwest United States. I'm here because I have just learned some VBScript in the last 6 months and I now I like looking at other code to see how it works. You stuff is fun to read and very interesting. I am thinking about playing with VisualBasic. It is cold and snowy outside today where I live so today is a good day for learning.

Hi Brian,
why VisualBasic? C# is just as simple.

Hi
I'm glad to see that you just registered for CodeProject, only to say you like my articles. It is so wonderfully nice of you...
BTW it has to be "Schreibe", not "Scriebe".

I'm thinking that I should probably go to sleep, since tomorrow it's gonna be a prety busy day, but then again, I'm almost every night thinking about that, and early morning finds me in front of the computer.
Regarding the boring day, yeah...I can say it was a pretty boring day, but I'm excited because tomorrow I'm going to buy an amplifier for my electric guitar and I'm going to stress myself trying to play it. Well at least the awfull sounds I make with the new amplifier wil be a second pleasant than the ones I used to make when using the PC for amplification.
Well... keep up the good work. I'll go now and disturb other people since I've got nothing else to do right now
regards,
Mircea

Hi, Corinna!
My name's Tony and I am from Bulgaria.
I just read your article about LSA functions (thanks for writing it) and I was interested to read some details about the author when I saw "he" was a girl.
Never talked to a girl about anything of that kind (LSA stuff and similar advanced topics..) so I think there are quite few like you out there.
Well, good luck with development and keep up the good work at Codeproject !
P.S. I've been working with .NET (C# mainly) since the first release of the framework. Besides development I am quite interested in software architecture.
While spending my winter vacation I'm trying to figure out some LSA related functionality regarding a more secure way to do autologon (than the "default" HKLM\...\Winlogon way).
Best regards,
Tony

Your articles are awesome!
I do a lot of work at a music studio and am spending my free time learning as much as I can about programming for digital media! I couldn't believe I stumbled onto these!

Hi Steve!
Thanks for your nice comment.
I do the same as you do: Learn as much about programming as possible in my rare spare time. And when I think I learned something cool, I publish it here.

I'm here because you are amazing! I've been looking all over for some good steganography examples but found little. Then I stumble across your articles and it’s in a language I already know. ^^ *bows down* Thank you soooo much for sharing your knowledge because I've wanted to add steganography to my all in one file security program for months. If you were in the U.S.A. I'd track you down and kiss you!
Now that I've embarrassed both of us I hope life is good to you.
