Yea though Clippy has become a shibboleth for user-interface designers world-wide: those of us who treasure the memories of him popping up with that endearing wriggle in Excel, and other applications, can rejoice:
Clippy's lost daughter, Inori Aizawa, the hushed-up love-child of Clippy's now "disappeared" interlude in Japan with Sailor Moon, has been found in Singapore, freed from ensorcelled durance vile in the clutches of Lord Manga, and will soon embody the fighting spirit of Internet Explorer 11.

Still playing with it but kinda like everything so far. Feels like what 2012 should have been (or maybe I'm used to it already). BTW: don't you find it odd that they are actually naming the versions to the actual year that it comes out? That just never happens with Microsloth...

I seem to recall that at least one version came out a year or so after the designation. I am happy to be corrected. Whatever the case always found it be a solid piece of kit.

I think some have been released slightly in advance - so they are current for as much of the year as possible. I think it strange that 2013 is being released so late in the year - would have been better marketing surely to call it 2014?
I confess to liking VS but it certainly has enough issues to make me swear at it quite regularly - I'm hoping some of those go away in 2013.
The main issues I have are with responsiveness - when I flick between various source files looking at issues, I don't want to have to sit and twiddle my thumbs for even 1 second (let alone the 15 or 20 I have to on occasion) waiting for VS to parse some Xaml in a source file I mistakenly tabbed to!
The other issue is the (been there since day one I think) caching? issue - i.e. VS fails to build something, displaying various errors, then closing/opening VS you can build again fine. This has lost me serious hours in the past as I try to figure out what appears to be some strange bug in my software but turns out to be some strange bug in VS !

It's been a long time since I had a monthly subscription for a magazine, but I remember they liked to send out their december issue around the 10th of november or even earlier.
Also I'm used to christmas cookies being offered for sale in the supermarkets from late august onwards.

Oh - & it puts a small '3 references' tag thingo above each method in the source code which is handy; apparently if you're using TFS it also shows comments about who last updated that bit of code!
