The Surface Pro is an x86 CPU (Intel i5) and runs the same version of Windows 8.x as you would on a regular desktop or laptop--the only real difference is the form factor. For your use case though, it probably wouldn't be cost-effective.

My opinion. I caught myself watching the intro and then switching to another channel.
I like the NCIS Intro, but by far the best is the intro/outro of Criminal Minds, where they say another philosophical quote which has a more or less tight connection to the episode (Example 1[^] and Example 2[^]).
