Just looked at the specs, that thing is bigger than the Note 4.
Does it come with all the crap ware that samsung inflict on their phones and do you need to "root" them to clean it out?

Not really, it comes with some preloaded Nokia apps, but these are rather good in general and a good reason to choose Nokia over a rival Windows phone.
Anything you don't like you just uninstall. It's a really good phone, charges wirelessly and is great for my big clumsy fingers. The only criticism is when using as a phone it's almost got comedy value due to its size.

Yeah I have a Note 1 but then I'm not a small bloke and it is in proportion. I will need to upgrade shortly and am considering the wp mainly because I don't need to hack into it to get at parts of the system.
The lack of a really good GPS navigation system is the only detraction, I use syzig and it is excellent on android.

Well, if you mean a thing to get you (in car) from A to B, the Nokia app is very good. Well better than my TomTom anyway. And its got live traffic on it to reroute you.

The company provides the 'cables' for the internet (we have only one in Israel so far) offered me (not me only) a solution, that by giving a certain part of my bandwidth (1 or 2 Mb depending of the size of it) to the community I will got free access to internet everywhere someone shares in the same way. The idea is that by sharing our (already payed) bandwidth we create a free network for everyone out-of-home too...

Yes, here in France, "Free" (the provider) allows you to access any of its DSL box over WiFi, with limited bandwith of course. You get special credentials for that.
The box owner has of course priority when using his own connection over possible people hooking on his box.

Connection speed is about 1Mbit/s, not that much, but sufficient for checking your mails.
If people participate ? Well, this is a feature of the provider, so you cannot shut it off, so basically, yes , they do

So if someone walking past your house uses your router to download illegal/copyrighted material, or to participate in a DDoS, how do you prove that it wasn't you?

I did sign up for it when I had a compatible router a few years ago but cannot remember ever using it.
I do often see the wifi hotspots available if I turn on my wifi when out and about.

I have a friend who has a second ADSL line and WIFI for the good of the public serving the bench outside his front door. Comes with lovely views of Bristol. He's got too much money though.

My daughter's school created a wifi network in the area around the school, asking people living nearby to host repeating aerials for which they could use the network.
The idea was to get all children living near the school on the internet.
As we have never lived anywhere near the school I don't know how successful this was.
